Equipment, materials for 100 centres for inclusive education transmitted to district administrations in Moldova

Chisinau, 12 January /MOLDPRES/ - The Resource Centres for Inclusive Education from 100 general education institutions of Moldova have been endowed with teaching/learning materials and specialized equipment for children with special education requirements and/or disabilities. At the today’s cabinet meeting, the assets were transmitted as property to district and municipal administrations, the government’s communication and protocol department has reported.
They have been earlier distributed to the district and municipal councils with right to use.
The consignments distributed include IT equipment (laptops, printers, projectors); audio books, keyboards adapted to children with sight deficiencies; education software for developing the writing and reading language and abilities; magnetic words and codes for making words, sentences, talking pens, etc.).
The equipment and materials were bought within the project, Education Reform in Moldova, and were distributed in the spring of 2021. More than 1,700 children with sense deficiencies, difficulties of studying, dyslexia, autism, Down Syndrome, physical, communication deficiencies and other special education requirements benefit from the services of those 100 centres.
The acquisition was carried out by the Education and Research Ministry, with the financial support of the World Bank and its overall values is of about 19 million lei.
