Moldovan stage manager stages four plays in Moldova, two in Romania in 2021

Chisinau, 13 January /MOLDPRES/ - The 2021 years was a successful year for the actor, stage manager, artistic director of the Luceafarul Theatre, Merited Artist Slava Sambris. He staged four plays in Moldova and two ones in Romania. 

Contacted by MOLDPRES, Slava Sambris said that, in 2021, he had enjoyed a quite full year, with good and bad things, with great losses and benefits, a very stressful year. ‘’It was a year which had an impact on me: the loss of the father, after which I had four stages of plays in Chisinau and two ones in Romania.   

According to Sambris, in 2022, the Luceafarul Theatre will have a rich schedule. It is about a musical play titled, Konцert. Another premiere is to take place in late next February; it is about a play titled, People and Kilometers, stage management by Luminita Tacu. In April 2022, the theatre is expecting a stage manager from Hungary, who is to start working on the play, Three Sisters, by Anton Chekhov.      

Slava Sambris was born in the Vadul-Leca village, central Telenesti district, on 9 June 1981. In 2000, he finished the Arts College from Soroca, theatre stage management specialty and in 2004 – the Music, Theatre and Fine Arts Academy from Chisinau, acting specialty. In 2012-2013, Sambris studied for his master’s degree at the Academy which he finished, specialty the art of the contemporary actor and in 2017-2019 he studied for master’s degree at the I.L Caragiale National University of Theatre and Film from Bucharest, theatre stage management specialty.     

In 2000-2004, Slava Sambris worked as actor at the Chisinau-based Licurici Republican Puppet Theatre and in 2002-2017 he was actor and stage manager at the Eugene Ionesco National Theatre; in 2014-2017 Sambris was university lecturer at the Actor’s Art Department of the Music, Theatre and Fine Arts Academy. He staged plays at diverse theatres from Moldova. In 2013, he was awarded the honorific title of Merited Artist. Slava Sambris is laureate of the Youth Prize of the Chisinau municipality (2008) and of more prizes awarded by the Theatre Union of Moldova.
