Chisinau municipality enters emergency state in public health sector till 15 March

Chisinau, 13 January /MOLDPRES/ - The extraordinary public health commission of the Chisinau municipality has declared emergency state in the public health sector till 15 March.

The participants in the today’s meeting of the Commission ruled the declaring of the emergency state in the public health sector till 15 March, following an increase in the number of people infected with COVID-19.

At the same time, the Orange Code alert state and unfriendly epidemiological state of community transmission of the Omicron strain were established on the administrative area of the Chisinau city.

The medical and social assistance general department of the Chisinau Municipal Council, along with the heads of the municipal medical and sanitary institutions, are entrusted to undertake all needed measures for the efficient management of the new pandemic wave, in order to prepare the medical rooms and enhance the capacity of hospitalization and mobilizing the medical resources necessary.
