Moldovan Football Federation receives licence for television

Chisinau, 13 January /MOLDPRES/ - A new TV channel dedicated to sport will appear in Moldova.

At a meeting on 12 January, the Audiovisual Council (CA) issued the broadcasting licence for a TV station with sports subjects, WE SPORT TV, due to be broadcast through distributors of audiovisual media services. The broadcasting licence was got by the Moldovan Football Federation (FMF) and is valid during nine years. Under the project presented by CA, 95 per cent of the broadcasting will be provided with from its own production.

A representative of the Moldovan Football Federation in charge of the communication and media projects, Alexandru Grecu, informed that the TV station would be backed by important partners of FMF – FIFA and UEFA, with which FMF has already reached a preliminary agreement. According to Grecu, the national telecommunications operator, Moldtelecom, showed willingness to cooperate with the future TV station.
