Chisinau, 13 January /MOLDPRES/ - The Moldovan parliament’s secretariat today informed that it would undertake measures to rationalize the consumption of energy resources and cut the related expenses.
According to the quoted source, the secretariat ruled to almost fully disconnect from heating supply the rooms of the parliament building’s garage, with a total area of about 9,000 square metres. As a result of this measure, the parliament’s secretariat will get a considerable saving of the volume of thermal energy consumed and will thus significantly reduce the expenditures.
The heating installations of the other buildings of the parliament are permanently monitored and adjusted. On the days off and on holidays, they are scheduled at minimal temperatures and some of them are completely disconnected.
At the same time, the consumption of natural gas at the parliament’s autonomous boiler room, which supplies the basic building of the institution, is monitored and adjusted, depending on the air temperature outdoors.
On 12 January 2022, the Commission for Emergency Situations adopted a string of measures for solving the problem of natural gas supply and demanded that the public institutions take measures, in order to rationalize the consumption of gas and electric energy.
