Exhibition-contest of contemporary art dedicated to National Culture Day inaugurated in Moldovan capital

Chisinau, 13 January /MOLDPRES/ - The third issue of the exhibition and contest of contemporary art dedicated to the National Culture Day was inaugurated at the Constantin Brancusi Exhibition Centre from Chisinau today.
Contacted by MOLDPRES, the head of the Fine Artists’ Union of Moldova (UAP), Dumitru Bolboceanu, said the National Culture Day was a holiday which pays homage to the art and the academic effort, the goal of which is to promote the cultural values.
According to the UAP deputy head, Florina Breazu, artists from various generations, who presented about 100 works, participate in the 2022 edition of the exhibition.
Five prizes were awarded at the exhibition, of which two ones were offered by the Culture Ministry and the Chisinau Culture Department.
At the same time, Merit Diplomas were awarded at the exhibition and contest as well.
The exhibition will be open till 30 January.
