Chisinau city hall, INSP set activity priorities for 2022

Chisinau, January 14 / MOLDPRES /- Representatives of the General Directorate of Public Transport and Communications in Chisinau and the National Inspectorate of Public Safety have found common ground for streamlining road traffic in the city.

The above-mentioned management announced that at the beginning of this week there was a working meeting attended by representatives of the National Inspectorate of Public Security where an evaluation of the actions undertaken in 2021 was made and the activity priorities for the year were established. 2022, the two parties coming up with proposals to improve traffic safety on the streets of the city.

Contacted by the MOLDPRES reporter, the head of the Directorate-General for Public Transport and Communications, Vitalie Mihalache, said that the discussions also addressed divergent issues such as traffic lights, road signs. At the same time, the official mentioned that common points were found regarding the construction of pedestrian crossings under test or of islets of refuge for pedestrians at the crossing of the main road arteries. "Together with our colleagues from INSP we are trying to find solutions to streamline traffic in the city," said Mihalache.

Asked by MOLDPRES, the press officer of the INSP, Natalia Golovco, stated that the collaboration relations with the municipality are good and that there is openness to achieve the objectives planned by the Chisinau City Hall for the next period. "There are enough commonalities for the relations between the two institutions to lead to the smoothing of road traffic in the city and beyond," Golovco said.
