As many as 1,858 new cases of COVID-19 recorded in Moldova in last 24 hours

Chisinau, 14 January /MOLDPRES/ - A number of 12,419 samples have been processed in Moldova in the last 24 hours and 1,858 cases of infection with the new-type coronavirus were confirmed. Fifty two out of the new cases are import ones. Thus, 386,905 COVID-19 cases have been registered in Moldova so far.

According to data by the Health Ministry (MS), 95 out of all infection cases are among medical employees (21 physicians, 54 medical assistants, 20 auxiliary staff employees).

As many as 1,085 people confirmed with COVID-19 are hospitalized in all, of whom 136 are in extremely serious condition and 21 patients are subjected to mechanical ventilation.

In the context, 4,515 persons are treated at home with light and moderate forms of coronavirus and 12,390 are under supervision at home.

Another 311 people have been treated. As many as 366,172 people were treated of COVID-19 in all.

At the same time, MS informs about the registration of another 11 deaths triggered by COVID-19 and 10,427 people have died of coronavirus in all.
