Chisinau city hall to hold campaign to prevent cervical cancer

Chisinau, 17 January /MOLDPRES/- Chisinau city hall in partnership with the UN Population Fund will launch a campaign to prevent cervical cancer.
Boris Gâlcă, the head of the General Directorate of Medical and Social Assistance in Chisinau, said at today's online meeting of the municipal services that in January, he will start an information and prevention campaign for cervical cancer.
"In order to carry out this action, we had a working meeting with Nigina Abaszada, Representative of the United Nations Population Fund (UNFPA) in Chisinau," said Gâlcă.
At the same time, the official noted that this week, UNFPA representatives will have a meeting with Chisinau city hall employees. "During the pandemic, all women aged 25-61 are encouraged to go to the family doctor and schedule a cytological test. This test is a good tool that allows us to prevent the disease and to detect the disease in the early stages ", said Gâlcă.
