Chisinau municipality to carry out inspections in high schools in city

Chisinau, 17 January /MOLDPRES/- Chisinau education, youth and sport department will conduct control on compliance with COVID-19 rules in municipal educational institutions.

Acting head of the above-mentioned department Adrian Pavaloi said at today's online meeting that following some controls carried out at the municipal educational institutions it was found that pupils and some teachers do not respect the epidemiological norms set by the Public Health Commission. "Pupils do not respect the distance and the protective mask is missing", said Pavaloi.

According to the official, "at this moment in the educational institutions there are 659 pupils of 26 quarantined educational institutions, and 1,040 are in self-isolation". "5 new cases of infection were found in the municipal kindergartens, and 78 children are in self-isolation. Also, 11 teachers and 7 non-teaching staff are suffering from Covid-19 ", said Pavaloi.
