Chisinau, 17 January /MOLDPRES/- Chisinau workers will be required to wear masks if there are more than two in the room.
At today's online meeting of the city hall, the head of the General Directorate of Medical and Social Assistance, Boris Gâlcă, asked representatives of the municipal structures to wear the sanitary mask correctly and to oblige all workers to wear a mask if there are more than two in the room. "It is necessary to wear a mask because the Omicron variant of coronavirus is dominant in Chisinau," he said.
At the same time, he noted that the high degree of transmissibility of the Omicron variant led to the introduction of the orange alert code in the municipality. "The decisions of the Municipal Public Health Commission are aimed at preventing the spread of the pandemic, the mandatory wearing of masks in all enclosed spaces, including offices, waiting stations, shops, public transport comes to reduce the degree of transmissibility of the virus," said the source.
The heads of municipal enterprises are required to monitor the vaccination rate in the institutions and persuade employees to get vaccinated. "Vaccination is the best measure to prevent the coronavirus pandemic," Gâlcă said.
