1,600 beds activated in Chisinau hospitals

Chisinau, January 17 / MOLDPRES /- Chisinau's municipal health institutions have 1,600 beds ready to deal with a possible wave of coronaviruses.

Mayor Ion Ceban made the statement at today's online meeting of the municipal services.

He noted that at the Municipal Clinical Hospital for Infectious Diseases of Children, all beds are occupied with children tested positive for COVID-19. "Many of the young patients have developed severe and critical forms," the source said.

At the same time, Ceban said that additional pediatric Covid hospitalization spaces have been activated at the Valentin Ignatenco Municipal Clinical Hospital for Children.

On the other hand, the mayor said that along with parents, children can also be vaccinated in the municipality. "We have a good immunization infrastructure in the capital: in the 70 vaccination points, along with adults, children can also be immunized," said the same source.
