Moldovan president had meeting with employees of country's diplomatic service

Chisinau, January 18 / MOLDPRES /- President Maia Sandu together with Deputy Prime Minister Nicu Popescu, Minister of Foreign Affairs and European Integration had a meeting on 17 January with employees of the country's diplomatic service. Discussions focused on current foreign policy and how to better promote the interests of the country and citizens, the presidential press service has reported.
"Together, in 2021 we have achieved more, but in 2022 we must do even more. In particular, let's move forward on the four directions, which I consider a priority for our foreign policy: stepping up European integration efforts; contributing to a peaceful security environment in the region; supporting the diaspora and fellow citizens abroad and economic diplomacy ", Maia Sandu said. The head of state said she relies on activism of our embassies and consulates, as well as on those who work at home.
Professional Day of Diplomat is marked in Moldova on 17 January. On this occasion, the president sent a congratulatory message to all those working in the diplomatic service. The head of state wished them a successful career and thanked them for their efforts to ensure a better understanding and cooperation between the Republic of Moldova and the countries of the world.
