Two kindergartens, 57 classes quarantined due to Covid-19

Chisinau, January 18 / MOLDPRES /- Two kindergartens and 57 classes in schools are quarantined because of Covid-19. The Ministry of Education and Research / MEC / presented the data.
According to the epidemiological situation, on January 10-14, in the educational institutions of the Republic of Moldova the number of pupils tested positive with COVID-19 was 289 people. Also, 133 teachers and 39 auxiliary staff were infected with COVID.
In the same period, 16 cases of infection among the little ones were registered in the kindergartens in the country, and 51 educators and 30 auxiliary employees presented positive tests to COVID-19.
The number of students infected with the new coronavirus has also increased. Thus, during the mentioned period, 90 cases were registered in the higher education institutions among students and 12 among lecturers.
So far, the vaccination rate of primary, secondary and high school teachers has reached 84%.
