Political parties to be subsidized with over 42 million lei this year

Chisinau, January 18 / MOLDPRES /- The Central Electoral Commission / CEC / has set the monthly amount of state budget subsidies for political parties for 2022.
CEC head Angelica Caraman announced at today's ordinary meeting of the electoral authority that the amount of 42 million 31 thousand lei was allocated from the state budget for subsidizing political parties.
At the same time, the official presented the principles established by law according to which political parties receive monthly subsidies from the state. "Subsidies are distributed according to the results of political parties in the early parliamentary elections of 11 July 2021, the presidential elections of 1 November 2020 and the general local elections of 20 October 2019. The number of women actually elected is also taken into account in calculating these subsidies. and the number of young people elected, ”Caraman said.
Thus, the political parties will receive 0.7173 lei for each vote obtained in the early parliamentary elections of July 11, 2021, 0.3622 lei for each vote obtained in the general local elections of October 20, 2019, 0.5787 lei for each vote obtained in the elections presidential elections from 1 November 2020.
Also, the political parties will receive 6567 lei for each woman actually elected in the Parliament of the Republic of Moldova and 10945 lei for each young person elected to the Legislature.
