Netherlands donated protective equipment against COVID-19 to Moldova

Chisinau, January 18 / MOLDPRES /- Moldova has received a batch of protective equipment and disinfectant against COVID-19 worth more than 2.5 million euros, donated by the Dutch government.
It includes over 62 thousand pairs of glasses, 62 thousand liters of disinfectant, over 571 thousand protective suits, 586 thousand pairs of gloves, 585 thousand simple masks and as many respirators.
Health Minister Ala Nemerenco also attended the reception of the equipment.
"This donation is very important, especially for district hospitals. The protection materials represent a major support for the medical staff, so that we can face a new wave of COVID-19 ", the minister said.
The costs of collecting, transporting and storing medical equipment were covered by the Max does the best charity in the Netherlands. Since 2008, this foundation has provided donations to medical institutions in the Republic of Moldova worth about 14 million euros.
