New Deputy Prime Minister for Reintegration appointed

Chisinau, January 19 / MOLDPRES /- Oleg Serebrian is the new Deputy Prime Minister for Reintegration. The former ambassador of the Republic of Moldova to Germany took the oath of office today.
The ceremony took place in the presence of head of state Maia Sandu and prime minister Natalia Gavrilița.
The head of state mentioned that the well-being of the citizens of the Republic of Moldova, regardless of whether we are talking about those on the right or left bank of the Dniester is the most important. "Thank you for agreeing to take over this portfolio, which is not easy. I am convinced that your diplomatic experience, but also a good knowledge of the realities of the Republic of Moldova and the situation in the region will help you face this new professional challenge. For us, the well-being of the citizens of Moldova, whether we are talking about those on the right or left bank of the Dniester is the most important. They need medical and educational services, they also need to know that they have a fair justice that respects and ensures the right of all. Regarding this portfolio, our task is to identify a peaceful, diplomatic solution to the Transnistrian conflict, a solution that respects the territorial integrity and sovereignty of the Republic of Moldova ", said Maia Sandu.
Oleg Serebrian has held several ambassadors since 2010. Between 2001 and 2008 he was the president of the Social-Liberal Party, and in 2008, following the merger of the Social-Liberal Party with the Democratic Party of Moldova, he was elected first vice-president of the PDM.
The post of Deputy Prime Minister for Reintegration has become vacant after Vlad Kulminski announced his resignation on November 5, 2021.
