Moldovan deputy premier meets OSCE Mission head

Chisinau, January 19 / MOLDPRES /- Deputy Prime Minister Nicu Popescu, Minister of Foreign Affairs and European Integration met with head of the OSCE Mission to Chisinau Claus Neukirch. During the meeting, officials exchanged views on current developments in the conflict settlement process in the Transnistrian region of the Republic of Moldova, the MAEIE press service has reported.

"I welcomed the agenda of the OSCE Chairman-in-Office, Minister of Foreign Affairs of Poland Zbigniew Rau, who is targeting our country," said Popescu.

At the same time, the Deputy Prime Minister expressed the consistent position of the Republic of Moldova on the need for transparent withdrawal and destruction of Russian ammunition from Cobasna, and reiterated the concerns of Chisinau authorities about human rights violations in the Transnistrian region.
