Chisinau, 26 January /MOLDPRES/ - Prime Minister Natalia Gavrilita, in the beginning of a today’s cabinet meeting, said that the gas tariff would not increase for the household consumers up to 150 cubic metres. It will remain unchanged in February and March, despite the demand by the Moldovagaz company.
„No matter the decision due to be taken by the National Energy Regulatory Agency (ANRE), either it accepts the price of 15.59 lei for one cubic metre, or a lower increase, the cabinet will impose a tax of 6.8 lei for a consumption of up to 50 cubic metres and 7.9 lei for a consumption of up to 150 cubic metres for the household consumers,’’ Natalia Gavrilita stressed.
The PM noted that the cabinet would consider options due to provide for compensations for economic agents as well.
In another context, the prime minister also said that the prices would be taken under control as well. ‘’We will see how the price increases, as well as the big differences between prices for the same products, on the same market segments, are explained,’’ the official added.
