Moldovan government approves distribution of 1.4 billion lei for maintaining, repair of national roads in 2022

Chisinau, 26 January /MOLDPRES/ - The cabinet of ministers today gave a positive note to the approval of the programme on the distribution of the road fund’s means for the national public roads for 2022, amounting to 1.485348 billion lei. The financial means will be distributed for the maintenance and repair of the engineering constructions and national public roads with a total length of 5,902 km, the government’s communication and protocol department has reported.  

Thus, 696.475 million lei of the all means from the road fund is scheduled to be used for works of maintaining national public roads, including:

- 538.173 million lei – for financings works of capital repair of roads and engineering constructions. Segments of national roads with a total length of 61.63 km, as well as six bridges will be repaired with this money.

- 60 million de lei – for carrying out works of designing, roads’ assessment and purchasing grounds, if national roads are extended;

- 183 million lei – co-financing of works for the rehabilitation of national roads, financed through other programmes implemented from the state budget;  

- 7.7 million lei – for buying needed equipment for the implementation of contemporary standards as to the testing of materials in the field of roads and systems of traffic’s record.  

The programme will help efficiently use the financial means allocated for the road fund and will allow carrying out the works of maintaining and repair of national public roads for 2022.
