Ambassador of Germany to Moldova awarded Order of Honour

Chisinau, 26 January /MOLDPRES/ - President Maia Sandu today afternoon had a meeting with Ambassador of Germany to Moldova Angela Ganninger, who ends her mandate in the country, the presidential press service has reported.

The head of state thanked the diplomat for the constant solidarity showed by Germany to Moldova, in the political and economic spheres, as well as through the support of diverse projects on the country’s development, for the benefit of the citizens. ‘’Germany is one of our faithful backers and we are grateful for this friendship,’’ Maia Sandu said.

In the end of the meeting, President Maia Sandu awarded the Ambassador Angela Ganninger the Order of Honour, as a token of appreciation for the contribution brought for strengthening the bilateral Moldovan-German relations, for the support of Moldova’s European integration and the country’s modernization, as well as for the generous assistance provided by the German authorities in the fight against the Covid-19 pandemic.
