Moldovan government speaks out for resuming activity of working groups on Transnistrian issue

Chisinau, 26 January /MOLDPRES/ – We know about the military exercises taking place on the left bank of Dniester, especially that they are made public or the subject will be on the agenda of a meeting between Deputy PM for Reintegration Oleg Serebrian and the negotiators on behalf of the Transnistrian region. Prime Minister Natalia Gavrilita made statements to this effect at a news conference held following the cabinet meeting today.

The PM said the Moldovan cabinet ‘’speaks out for the resumption of the activity of the working groups, which have not held meetings for a long time.’’

At the same time, the prime minister noted that Moldova’s authorities were concerned about the situation in the region and called for ‘’calm, maturity and wisdom.’’
