As many as 6,199 new cases of COVID-19 recorded in Moldova in last 24 hours

Chisinau, 26 January /MOLDPRES/ - A number of 19,808 samples have been processed in Moldova in the last 24 hours and 6,199 cases of infection with the new-type coronavirus were confirmed. Fifty four out of the new cases are import ones. Thus, 423,568 COVID-19 cases have been registered in Moldova so far.

According to data by the Health Ministry (MS), 403 out of all infection cases are among medical employees (107 physicians, 165 medical assistants, 131 auxiliary staff employees).

As many as 2,476 people confirmed with COVID-19 are hospitalized in all, of whom 198 are in extremely serious condition and 32 patients are subjected to mechanical ventilation.

In the context, 18,941 persons are treated at home with light and moderate forms of coronavirus and 25,320 are under supervision at home.

Another 1,694 people have been treated. As many as 374,873 people were treated of COVID-19 in all.

At the same time, MS informs about the registration of another 18 deaths triggered by COVID-19 and 10,584 people have died of coronavirus in all.
