Moldovan president congratulated State Protection and Guard Service officers on institution's anniversary

Chisinau, January 27 / MOLDPRES /- President Maia Sandu conveyed a message today on the 30th anniversary of the founding of the State Protection and Guard Service. The head of state congratulated the SPPS veterans and young men and women, the presidential press service has reported.

"The State Protection and Guard Service is a symbol institution for any country. I know that the work you do is complex, even if it is less visible ", the head of state said, wishing the SPPS officers health, achievements and power to serve the country in an exemplary manner.

According to Maia Sandu, in the last year, through the initiated reforms, the SPPS employees have shown that they want to work honestly and correctly, without being involved in dubious activities, as it was in the past. She urged SPPS officers to continue to abide by this commitment and not to forget that although they work with officials are at the service of the state and citizens. "The activity of the SPPS must not depend on the electoral cycles and those in power. Only in this way will you assert yourself as a professional and integral structure, devoted to the principles of legality and political neutrality, you will be a team appreciated and respected by society ", the head of state said.

Also today, on this occasion Maia Sandu conferred on some SPPS officers the order Faith of the Fatherland class III and the medal Military Merit. The awards were given for high professionalism and for contributing to the organization and conduct of protection and security measures.
