IT companies invited to generate digitization solutions for SMEs

Chisinau, 3 Feb. / MOLDPRES /- United Nations Development Program (UNDP) Moldova has announced a new competition to fund digitization solutions for public services and support for small and medium-sized enterprises (SMEs). Companies in information and communication technologies (ICT) from the Republic of Moldova can participate in the competition, and the deadline for submitting concepts is 16 February.
The call for proposals is launched in partnership with the Agency for Electronic and Optimal Governance - Opportunities through Technology and Innovation in Moldova, a project of the Swiss Agency for Development and Cooperation (SDC), implemented by HELVETAS Swiss Intercooperation.
Proposals are expected for the competition to contain solutions for: optimizing the interaction between citizens and the Government through the MCabinet citizen portal (creation of the mobile version and the notification module) and the mobile wallet for entrepreneurs (where documents issued by a certain entity will be stored - certificates, licenses / authorizations, decisions etc.) and digitization of other public services; supporting small and medium-sized enterprises: digital certification, logistics automation, digital inventory management, digitization in the fields of health, digital education and literacy, agriculture and food, energy, circular economy, environment, logistics, tourism, trade, cybersecurity and fintech, financial inclusion, etc.
The financial support provided will be a maximum of 40 thousand dollars, but not more than 50% of the total value of the proposal. In the case of groups of companies, contributions will be shared equally between the companies involved or according to the specific requirements of the proposal submitted.
The total number of funded proposals will fall within the available budget of $ 200,000 for the current edition of the competition.
Entities governed by private law in the ICT sector, registered (or in the process of registration) in accordance with the Law on Entrepreneurship and Enterprises of the Republic of Moldova, may participate in the competition. Collaborative groups can enter into partnerships with private, public and associative sector institutions - profile associations, government agencies, LPAs, schools, hospitals, universities, research institutions, etc.
UNDP is conducting this funding competition under the Accelerating Digital Transformation in the Public Sector in the Republic of Moldova project. Similar contests take place every few months.
