National Anticorruption Center's new head appointed

Chisinau, 3 Feb. / MOLDPRES /- Iulian Rusu has been appointed today director of the National Anticorruption Center (CNA) for a five-year term. His candidacy was voted by 57 deputies.
Iulian Rusu took the oath at today's meeting.
Speaker Igor Grosu that CNA is a strategic institution. "The task is not easy, but I am sure that the determination is very clear. There is no room for arrangements in this process of fighting corruption, reforming the judiciary. The one who violated the law must answer to it ", Grosu said.
Iulian Rusu is a lawyer, graduate of Oxford University and has a master's degree in law. Last year, he was appointed Secretary of State of the Ministry of Justice.
Under the legislation, the director of the National Anticorruption Center is appointed by a majority vote of the elected deputies, at the proposal of at least 20 parliamentarians.
