As many as 5,212 new cases of COVID-19 recorded in Moldova

Chisinau, 4 Februarty /MOLDPRES/- A number of 17,234 tests have been processed in Moldova in the last 24 hours and 5,212 cases of infection with the new-type coronavirus were confirmed. 25 out of the new cases are import ones. Thus, 460,307 COVID-19 cases have been registered in Moldova so far.

According to data by the Health Ministry (MS), 315 out of all infection cases are among medical employees (77 physicians, 140 medical assistants, 98 auxiliary staff employees).

As many as 3,146 people confirmed with COVID-19 are hospitalized in all, of whom 183 are in extremely serious condition and 29 patients are subjected to mechanical ventilation.

In the context, 26,350 persons are treated at home with light and moderate forms of coronavirus and 24,808 are under supervision at home.

Another 4,818 people have been treated. As many as 397,813 people were treated of COVID-19 in all.

At the same time, MS informs about the registration of another 16 deaths triggered by COVID-19 and 10,734 people have died of coronavirus in all.
