Moldovan speaker meets German envoy

Chisinau, Feb. 4 / MOLDPRES /- Speaker Igor Grosu met today with Ambassador of the Federal Republic of Germany to Moldova Angela Ganninger, who concludes her diplomatic mission in Chisinau, the parliament's communication and public relations department has reported.

Grosu thanked the ambassador for supporting Moldova during her diplomatic term, and reiterated interest and openness to promote good relations between the two countries.

"We focus on implementing the country's development policies and the justice reform agenda, fighting corruption and, at the same time, supporting the citizens, especially in this time of crisis. In these efforts, we rely on the support of Germany, which is a very important partner for the Republic of Moldova ", he said.

The officials also discussed issues related to boosting the Moldovan-German dialogue and the possibility to diversify cooperation relations in several areas. In the context of cooperation in education and science, the importance of the study programs offered by the German state to Moldova was emphasized.

Finally, officials called for the potential for interparliamentary cooperation, including on the platform of the Friendship Group and the relevant parliamentary committees.

Igor Grosu wished Angela Ganninger success in her diplomatic career, emphasizing the constant interest of the Republic of Moldova in maintaining collaborative relations on all dimensions.
