The draft provides for some technical changes related to the data to be entered into that system. Farmers and business representatives will be able to view and analyze data on land condition and quality more quickly in order to make the right decisions about investing in agriculture or lending. To date, the document allows to obtain geospatial and textual information on the profile, creditworthiness, code and name of the soil, the project indicates.
The information system can also be used by central and local public authorities to highlight degraded agricultural land, which can be used to develop measures to stop the process of degradation and more efficient soil management.
At the same time, the data from the system will be able to be used for the correct calculation of the land tax. Also, in order to develop policies and research in the field, on increasing quality and reducing soil degradation processes, systemic monitoring of soil quality parameters will be performed.
