Booster dose range against COVID-19 reduced

Chisinau, Feb. 23 / MOLDPRES /- The booster dose interval was reduced from six to four months. The announcement was made by the Ministry of Health following recommendations received from the National Advisory Committee of Immunization Experts.
In the next period, those who wish can administer the booster dose four months after the completion of the complete vaccination schedule in order to maintain the level of protection against COVID-19.
At the same time, people eligible for the booster dose of the vaccine, who have undergone COVID-19 being vaccinated with the full schedule, will be given the booster dose at least 14 days after recovery.
To date, 1,031,212 people have been vaccinated with the complete scheme in the Republic of Moldova, and another 233,899 have benefited from the booster dose.
