As many as 970 new cases of COVID-19 recorded in Moldova

Chisinau, 23 February /MOLDPRES/ - A number of 8,687 tests have been processed in Moldova in the last 24 hours and 970 cases of infection with the new-type coronavirus were confirmed. 10 out of the new cases are import ones. Thus, 497,946 COVID cases have been recorded so far.

Health Ministry (MS), 54 out of all infection cases are among medical employees (15 physicians, 27 medical assistants, 12 auxiliary staff).

As many as 1,430 people confirmed with COVID-19 are hospitalized in all, of whom 142 are in extremely serious condition and 7 patients are subjected to mechanical ventilation.

In the context, 10,267 persons are treated at home with light and moderate forms of coronavirus and 12,662 are under supervision at home.

Another 1,900 people have been treated. As many as 470,851 people were treated of COVID-19 in all.

At the same time, MS informs about the registration of another 21 deaths triggered by COVID-19 and 11,157 people have died of coronavirus in all.
