Moldovan diplomacy head discusses with French counterpart

Chisinau, 25 February /MOLDPRES/ - Deputy Prime Minister, Foreign Affairs and European Integration Minister Nicu Popescu today had a phone conversation with his French counterpart Jean-Yves Le Drian, the Foreign Affairs and European Integration Ministry’s (MAEIE) press service has reported.

„We thank France for the bilateral support and the one through the European civil protection mechanism, which it will provide and with which we will be able to help even more the Ukrainian refugees who come to Moldova on this period,’’ Deputy PM Nicu Popescu said.

At the same time, the Moldovan diplomacy head expressed appreciation for the reaffirmation of France’s support for the territorial integrity of Moldova’s sovereignty, as well as for the European support the country is constantly receiving.
