Chisinau, 25 February /MOLDPRES/ - The Commission for Emergency Situations (CSE) today adopted a string of measures for preventing the unjustified increase in prices, as well as to ensure the efficient protection of the citizens who come from Ukraine, fleeing the consequences of the war in the neighbour country, the government’s communication and protocol department has reported.
The CSE members ruled to extend the list of strictly necessary products for which the trade markup is limited, as the measure is needed to keep under control the prices’ increase. The earlier existing list was completed with other products, including pork on bone, fowl, congealed fish, sugar beet, pastes, fresh eggs, potatoes, onions, white cabbage, carrots and red beet in fresh state.
The CSE bans prohibits traders to impose/ask the provider to give any payments or commercial cuts from the selling price (discount, rebate, bonus, retro-bonus), both at the point of negotiation, validity or ceasing of the contract, as well in the context of the success of the sales (volume, quantity, lack of returns or liquidation).
Through this measure, the socially important products will be sold with a trade markup which does not exceed 20 per cent and for bread and fancy bread the trade markup will not exceed 10 per cent.
Starting from 1 March 2022, and for all the period of the emergency state, the export of wheat, sugar and some medical products, including syringes, infusion solutions, systemic use medicines (antibiotics, anti-inflammatories, anti-coagulant medicines, analgesic medicines) is banned.
To ensure the stability of price for electric energy, the Commission for Emergency Situations ruled to suspend the process of purchasing electric energy and extend the contracts on sale and purchasing underway, as well as to maintain the financial and contractual conditions existing till 31 March 2023.
CSE took decisions to enhance the security of the critical infrastructure, including in the information security field and appointed a new manager at the Avia Invest Limited company for the period of the emergency state.
Also, the Labour and Social Protection Ministry will work out a programme on targeted compensation of the spending for the electric energy for the socially vulnerable residents.
Another decision adopted today refers to the facilitation of the entrance into the country of the consignments of assistance. Thus, the Customs Service will simplify the procedure of import of humanitarian assistance.
The local public authorities will be involved in the process of management of the flow of foreigners who come from Ukraine, including with logistic and administrative support.
The foreign citizens from Moldova, whose term of stay expires or the validity of whose identity acts, issued by Moldova’s authorities, expire, will not be called to account.
The decision took into consideration the Moldovan government’s efforts to support both its own citizens in vulnerable situations and the foreigners hit by the situation in the region.
