As many as 668 new cases of COVID-19 recorded in Moldova in last 24 hours

Chisinau, 26 February /MOLDPRES/ - A number of 7,364 tests have been processed in Moldova in the last 24 hours and 668 cases of infection with the new-type coronavirus were confirmed. Five out of the new cases are import ones. Thus, 500,812 COVID cases have been recorded so far.

According to the Health Ministry (MS), 26 out of all infection cases are among medical employees (8 physicians, 14 medical assistants, 4 auxiliary staff).

As many as 1,204 people confirmed with COVID-19 are hospitalized in all, of whom 100 are in extremely serious condition and 6 patients are subjected to mechanical ventilation.

In the context, 9,161 persons are treated at home with light and moderate forms of coronavirus and 11,668 are under supervision at home.

Another 947 people have been treated. As many as 474,487 people were treated of COVID-19 in all.

At the same time, MS informs about the registration of another 16 deaths triggered by COVID-19 and 11,201 people have died of coronavirus in all.
