Moldovan president discusses with U.S. Secretary of State

Chisinau, 26 February /MOLDPRES/ - President Maia Sandu on 25 February evening had a phone conversation with U.S. Secretary of State Antony Blinken, the presidential press service has reported.

The officials referred to the complicated security situation in the region, triggered by the war in Ukraine and expressed full support for Ukraine’s territorial integrity.

The head of state said that Moldova was further prepared to provide humanitarian assistance to the refugees from Ukraine. For his part, the American official appreciated Moldova’s commitment to provide international protection to those who seek refuge because of the war. Also, Secretary Blinken said that the USA would support, in continuation, the territorial integrity of Moldova.
