Over 400 people accomodated at placement centre for refugees opened at Moldexpo, which works 24 hours

Chisinau, 26 February /MOLDPRES/ - A number of 426 people who fled Ukraine, of whom 40 children, have been so far accommodated at the placement centre for refugees, opened at the Moldexpo centre from Chisinau, the government’s communication and protocol department reported.
The institution’s beneficiaries are taken over at the Moldovan-Ukrainian border crossing points and transferred to the Centre by the transport means organized by the authorities and are carried to Moldexpo through representatives of the diplomatic missions.
The sorting centre is endowed with rooms for sleep, sanitary units, shower booths, free of charge Wi-Fi. Also, the people who fled are provided with medical, social and psychological assistance and three meals per day. A play room for children was also set at the institution, where leisure activities are organized.
A point of collecting donations is also placed on the territory of the centre, where food products, clothes and hygienic goods are brought.
The centre opened at Moldexpo has a full capacity of 500 places. If the accommodation places are filled, the Ukrainian refugees will be directed to other Centres.
