Japanese book, art exhibition opened at National Library of Moldova

Chisinau, 26 February /MOLDPRES/ - An exhibition of Japanese books and art titled, Japan in our library, has been recently opened at the National Library of Moldova (BNRM). The exhibition is organized within the event on inauguration of the National Digitization Centre at the institution.  

Contacted by MOLDPRES, BNRM director Elena Pintilei said that the exhibition had about 150 documents of the institution’s collection, of the Foundation of Moldovan-Japanese culture about the history, culture and civilization of Japan from the times immemorial till the present times.  

According to the quoted source, the exhibition’s goal is to promote and turn to good account the documents of the BNRM books fund about Japan.  

The exhibition has seven divisions: History of Japan; Japanese culture and civilization; Japanese traditions and customs; Japanese art; the reference publications in the Japanese language; Japanese writers translated in the Romanian language and Romanian writers translated in Japanese; Contemporary world of Japan.   

The exhibition will be opened till 20 March.
