As many as 500 new cases of COVID-19 recorded in Moldova in last 24 hours

Chisinau, 27 February /MOLDPRES/ - A number of 3,670 tests have been processed in Moldova in the last 24 hours and 500 cases of infection with the new-type coronavirus were confirmed. Thus, 501,312 COVID cases have been recorded so far.

According to the Health Ministry (MS), 13 out of all infection cases are among medical employees (2 physicians, 10 medical assistants, 1 auxiliary staff).

As many as 864 people confirmed with COVID-19 are hospitalized in all, of whom 72 are in extremely serious condition and 5 patients are subjected to mechanical ventilation.

In the context, 8,269 persons are treated at home with light and moderate forms of coronavirus and 11,115 are under supervision at home.

Another 1,431 people have been treated. As many as 475,918 people were treated of COVID-19 in all.

At the same time, MS informs about the registration of another 12 deaths triggered by COVID-19 and 11,214 people have died of coronavirus in all.
