Moldovan foreign minister had phone conversation with counterpart of India

Chisinau, 28 Feb. / MOLDPRES /- Deputy Prime Minister Nicu Popescu, Minister of Foreign Affairs and European Integration held a telephone conversation with Minister of Foreign Affairs of India Subrahmanyam Jaishankar.

According to the MAEIE press service, the officials discussed the need to coordinate the actions of the two states and facilitate the evacuation of Ukrainian citizens, in transit through the Republic of Moldova and Romania, to India, mostly Indian students enrolled in studies in educational institutions in the neighboring country.

"Our country is making every effort to provide the necessary support to help as soon as possible the citizens who arrive in the Republic of Moldova and need support for transfer to their countries of origin," Popescu said.
