As many as 488 new cases of COVID-19 recorded in Moldova

Chisinau, 28 February /MOLDPRES/ - A number of 3,230 tests have been processed in Moldova in the last 24 hours and 488 cases of infection with the new-type coronavirus were confirmed. Thus, 501,800 COVID cases have been recorded so far.

According to the Health Ministry (MS), 12 out of all infection cases are among medical employees (6 physicians, 4 medical assistants, 2 auxiliary staff).

As many as 841 people confirmed with COVID-19 are hospitalized in all, of whom 196 are in extremely serious condition and 6 patients are subjected to mechanical ventilation.

In the context, 8,134 persons are treated at home with light and moderate forms of coronavirus and 11,059 are under supervision at home.

Another 723 people have been treated. As many as 476,641 people were treated of COVID-19 in all.

At the same time, MS informs about the registration of another 3 deaths triggered by COVID-19 and 11,216 people have died of coronavirus in all.
