Civil Aviation Authority authorized flights for 28 February

Chisinau, 28 Feb. / MOLDPRES /- The Civil Aviation Authority (AAC) has announced that it has authorized several flights on 28 February, in the context of Moldova's airspace being closed to civil and state aircraft.
Thus, according to AAC, the following are authorized: a repatriation flight of Moldovan citizens from Sharm El-Sheikh, Egypt, performed by the national air operator Fly One; a repositioning flight; three cargo flights, two to Romania and one to Vienna.
In accordance with the provisions of Instruction No1 of February 24 of the Commission for Emergencies, if the airspace is closed, the following exceptions are allowed: the use of Moldovan airspace for the repositioning flights of civil aircraft of domestic and foreign air operators with the written permission of the Civil Aviation Authority and provided that the respective flights are performed without passengers on board; the use of Moldovan airspace for commercial air and freight flights of domestic and foreign air carriers may be carried out only with the written permission of the Civil Aviation Authority for each flight.
It is also allowed to use the airspace of the Republic of Moldova for humanitarian flights, repatriation and medical emergencies, following the coordination with the Civil Aviation Authority; for other cases, the use of Moldovan airspace by civil and state aircraft may be permitted only with the written permission of the Civil Aviation Authority and the Ministry of Defense.
