Refugee placement center set up on territory of Stefan cel Mare Infantry Brigade

Chisinau, 28 Feb. / MOLDPRES /- Stefan cel Mare motorized infantry brigade hosted 183 refugees from Ukraine this morning.

According to the Ministry of Defense, Ukrainian citizens were accommodated in a separate building, temporarily transformed into a placement center with a capacity of 200 seats.

The refugees are students of the Odessa Medical University and arrived in Chisinau last night. The soldiers in the unit provided them with all the necessary assistance for accommodation.

The action comes in response to the call of the authorities for the provision of basic assistance to refugees, in accordance with the provisions of the Commission for Emergencies, as well as in connection with the large flow of foreigners coming from Ukraine.
