650 Ukrainians applied for asylum in Moldova

Chisinau, March 1 / MOLDPRES /-On 24.02.2022 -01.03.2022, 87,257 citizens of Ukraine entered the territory of the Republic of Moldova, of which 84,522 entered through the MD-UA border segment, and 2,418 - through the MD-RO border segment.

According to the Ministry of Internal Affairs, in the same period 46,032 Ukrainian citizens left the territory of the Republic of Moldova, of which 42,237 - through the border segment MD-RO.

To date, 41,255 citizens of Ukraine have remained on the territory of the country.

The highest flow of people from Ukraine was recorded at the Palanca, Tudora, Otaci and Criva state border crossings.

These days, 1,343 people have applied for asylum in various territorial offices of the BMA, including 650 applications from Ukrainian citizens.
