Moldovan president discusses by phone with Lithuanian head of state

Chisinau, 1 March /MOLDPRES/ - President Maia Sandu today had a phone conversation with President of Lithuania Gitanas Nauseda, the presidential press service has reported.

The dialogue was focused on the situation in the region in terms of security, as well on Moldova’s effort to manage the crisis triggered by this situation. In the context, the head of state expressed gratitude for the Lithuanian government’s decision to provide Moldova with assistance worth 750,000 euros for the management of the flow of Ukrainian refugees in the country.

President Nauseda reiterated the Lithuanian state’s openness to provide every needed support to the Moldovan authorities, especially in the context of the latest security developments in the region.
