Chisinau, 1 March /MOLDPRES/ - More children refugees from Ukraine and accommodated at the centre of placement of refugees from the Ghidighici village, Straseni district, today visited, accompanied by their parents or grandparents, the National Ethnography and Natural History Museum (MNEIN), where they participated in a workshop of manufacturing 1 March trinkets (Martisors).
The visit was organized by the Culture Ministry, in cooperation with the aforementioned museum. Culture Minister Sergiu Prodan made Martisors along children.
“It is important that these small children remember not only the wrath of war. Two bright points should appear in the dark picture of these days – one white and one red. And the smile should appear on their faces. That is what we can do and what we must do. This is our fight for peace,’’ Sergiu Prodan said.
Such workshops, according to MNEIN director Petru Vicol, will be held on the days to come too. ‘’We also invited other children to visit the museum and participate in the workshop of manufacturing Martisors,’’ Petru Vicol said.
The children from Ukraine also saw a play at the Licurici theatre.
The Culture Ministry instructed that, on these days of ordeal, the access of refugees from Ukraine to the subordinated cultural institutions (museums, theatres, libraries) should be facilitated.
