Over 100 buses of Chisinau involved in transporting refugees

Chisinau, March 7 / MOLDPRES /- 112 buses from Chisinau Urban Bus Park have been involved in transporting refugees on the territory of the Republic of Moldova for the past 10 days.

The head of the General Directorate of Public Transport and Communications of the Chisinau Municipal Council, Vitalie Mihalache, said today at the online meeting of the municipal services that the buses provided transportation services for Ukrainian refugees from customs points on the border with Ukraine to Chisinau. at the Moldexpo sorting center; from the Moldexpo sorting center - to the placement centers in Chisinau and in the country; from placement and sorting centers - to the border crossing points with Romania.

According to the official, during this period, the buses of the Chisinau Urban Bus Park registered a distance of about 22 thousand km, the expenses incurred by the capital's mayor's office being estimated at approximately 740 thousand lei.

Vitalie Mihalache specified that the public passenger transport on the territory of Chisinau municipality was not affected by the temporary lack of these means of transport, this being provided in full volume.
