As many as 571 new cases of COVID-19 recorded in Moldova in last 24 hours

Chisinau, 12 March /MOLDPRES/ - A number of 5,343 tests have been processed in Moldova in the last 24 hours and 571 new cases of infection with the new-type coronavirus were confirmed. Seventeen out of these cases are import ones. Thus, 507,599 COVID cases have been recorded in Moldova so far.

According to the Health Ministry (MS), 22 out of all infection cases are among medical employees (4 physicians, 8 medical assistants, 10 auxiliary staff employees).

As many as 611 people confirmed with COVID-19 are hospitalized in all, of whom 81 are in extremely serious condition and 7 patients are subjected to mechanical ventilation.

In the context, 3,080 persons are treated at home with light and moderate forms of coronavirus and 7,197 are under supervision at home.

Another 1,334 people have been treated. As many as 489,532 people were treated of COVID-19 in all.

At the same time, MS informs about the registration of another 6 deaths triggered by COVID-19 and 11,339 people have died of coronavirus in all.
