Moldovan deputy prime minister meets Ambassador of Japan

Chisinau, 16 March /MOLDPRES/ - Deputy Prime Minister Oleg Serebrian has received Ambassador of Japan to Moldova Yoshihiro Katayama on visit, the Reintegration Policies Bureau has reported.
The officials highly appreciated the cooperation of the Chisinau and Tokyo authorities in the last years. They voiced hope that the bilateral relation would witness an ascending evolution and the consolidation of the partnership between the two countries.
The deputy PM informed about the recent developments in the Transnistrian file, the dynamic of the Chisinau-Tiraspol dialogue, efforts made by Moldova’s authorities to solve the up-to-date problems on the two banks of Dniester, as well as the measures of support provided to the refugees from Ukraine, who were temporarily accommodated in Moldova.
Oleg Serebrian thanked for the multidimensional assistance provided to Moldova by the Japanese authorities and evoked the openness for the development of new development projects of common interest.
