Moldovan parliament makes amendments to law on declaring of personal wealth

Chisinau, 17 March /MOLDPRES/ - The people holding public offices might be obliged to declare the real value of all assets gained after 2018. The parliament approved a draft law to this effect in the first reading today.

Thus, the people with public offices will declare the market value of the assets gained starting from 2018. As for the assets got till 2017 inclusively, the concerned people will declare the cadastral value of the asset or the value according to the act which certifies its origin.

The draft also sees the replacement in the law of the word ’’purchased’’ by the word ‘’gained.’’ Thus, the civil servants and officials will have to declare the value of all assets got, including through donation or inheritance.
