Chisinau, 17 March /MOLDPRES/ - Inspectors of the National Food Safety Agency (ANSA) of the Leuseni-Albita Border Inspection Post have found three batches of nuts, in quantities of 22,000 kg, 19,730 kg and 19,725 kg, which did not fit the quality requirements. The non-conforming consignments were returned to the origin country.
According to ANSA’s data, following the carrying out of the organoleptic control, decision-makers found out that both the surface of the shell and the kernels of nuts had an excessive external humidity, with visible sports of must, hit by rot, with pungent smell of rot, being inadequate for the human consumption. The nuts packed in bags were to be processed in Moldova.
Proceeding from these circumstances, the Agency banned the entrance of the batches of nuts into Moldova and they were returned to the origin country.
